Bonjour! I met Rhéa at the end of the '80's when I lived in Vancouver and went to St-Paul for dance camps! I have stopped dancing and playing the fiddle for 30 years, and got back to it 2 years ago!!! Very keen player!!!

I am named after my Metis great-grandfather and have his fiddle. When I was a kid in North Dakota in the 60's old people would tell me about him, and how he would play dances "for whiskey." I found your site looking for music to play at a party I had when my father would have turned 100 last month.

Mr. Vollrath, I am 75 and usually sleep in my easy chair because of my back and legs and sometimes I forget to turn off the television set. Last night was just such an evening. About 3 AM this morning I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I heard this beautiful instrument being played. You sir, are one talented fiddle player. Let me rephrase that if I may. What turns a fiddle into a Stradivarius is not how it is made or who made it, but the person playing the instrument. I heard you play country, I heard you play modern. In fact, I heard you play just about every song I still remember and you played them impeccably well. Sir, you most certainly have been given a talent from God himself. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, the rest of the world. God richly bless you. Dennis Zinke Hello Dennis and thank you for the kind words. I'm wondering how you heard my music in front of your TV. What channel was it being played on?
