Well here's a schwack of new tunes along with a couple of my older ones. They're all named after someone or something - let me explain.

'Mon oncle Edmond' is my wife's uncle who just loves to dance.

Moonlight in Montana was written one week before teaching at the fiddle camp in Elliston, Montana.

'Auntie Lily' is my aunt and just loves music.

Mo is the nickname for my Morris guitar, "Mo and Me" have written lots of tunes together.

'Fiddler Crik' is a creek in southeastern Montana, Walt Tadsen is to thank for this title.

The World's First UFO Landing Pad is St. Paul, Alberta's claim to fame. Since I have recently made St. Paul my home, I guess you could say the fiddler has landed, but no UFO's yet.

The next three tunes were written during composer's workshops at the 1998 Emma Lake Fiddle Camp. It was a rainy day when John and I wrote the 'Rainy Day Waltz'. Ken McConnell is a good friend from Quesnel, BC and an avid fiddle enthusiast, taking part in many fiddle camps. '3 Moons' is for the 3 distinct feels in this tune, one tune played 3 different ways and also for the moon's reflection on the water.

'Art and Marg' are my parents that have both passed on now. I wrote this one for them way back in about 1982.

There is going to be a huge fiddle gathering in Halifax, NS in July 1999 and it is called 'Fiddles Of The World'. Ivan Hicks, the President of this event asked me to come up with a theme tune. Thank you for this opportunity, I am sure honored.

On my wedding day, September 19, 1998, while we were eating supper, Freddie Pelletier said "I dare you to write a tune right now". Well I got the wheels turning and as I dove into the roast beef, I had a tune on the go. My wife's brother, Claude, just loves a tune with this kind of feel and this reminds me of him.

'Memories of Emma Lake' was first written by Lorne Ferley of Manitoba and he had some words to it but only a verse section, so I wrote the second part and now just play it instrumentally.

The Calgary Fiddlers are a group of young fiddlers that can play darn near anything, they might be wild after tackling this one.

Last year, while up at John Arcand's place, we went for a walk in his bush. When we came out, we sat at his place and wrote a tune on the spot, automatic title was 'Bushman Reel'.

'JayDean' Ludiker is a great fiddler from Spokane, Washington and she loves to play with double stops (2 notes at a time).

I wrote the 'Prince George Jig' back in about 1982 for this great city. I used to go to their fiddle contest every year back when I used to compete. Many good times were had in P.G.

Have a banana milkshake on a hot Sunday afternoon, have a guitar in your hands, and maybe you'll come up with a tune yourself. I don't normally pick tunes on a guitar, but it's kind of different for me so I thought I'd share this with you.

Richard Calihoo, a terrific fiddler from Hythe, AB is one of my all-time heroes, and he seems to improve with age - just like fine wine.

I'd like to thank Trent Bruner and Freddie Pelletier for their hard work on this recording. Your talents are truly gifts. I would also like to thank, Mr. Rhythm Man himself, Ray St. Germain, for slappin' some chords on Mon oncle Edmond.

Hope you enjoy
